LSI Zeta invest in Stemsight
No time to catch your breath, here is LSI Zetas fourth investment; StemSight. StemSight develops off-the-shelf hashtag#regenerative hashtag#cell therapies for hashtag#corneal blindness using human hashtag#pluripotent stem cells, pioneering the combination of iPS-derived cells with functional biomaterials. The first target indication is hashtag#limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD), a severe rare disease of the cornea currently without valid treatment options for patients suffering from bilateral LSCD. Beyond LSCD, StemSight also aims to address the global hashtag#shortage of donor corneas — with 12.7 million people currently waiting for transplants — by developing scalable, donor-independent cell therapies.
Looking forward to work with Laura Koivusalo, Sarita Panula, Ross Macdonald, Tanja Ilmarinen, Heli Skottman, Charlotta Backman and the rest of the team.
Also happy to deepen the collaboration with fellow investors Voima Ventures (Pontus Stråhlman, Stina Wallmark) and Stephen Industries (Henna Pihlman, Tor-Oskar Karlberg)
